In my counseling practice you will find a warm and welcoming space. I am an integrative counselor with a focus on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Being a lifelong learner, I am always striving to gain more useful knowledge so I can help my clients. I integrate various counseling theoretical models to adjust to my clients needs and I am a certified Cognitive-Behavioral Group Therapist by the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists, with a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges and achieve personal growth. I believe in providing an individualized counseling approach for each client's particular needs and preferences.
I have personally benefited from CBT, which motivates me to help my clients learn the psychological tools this counseling approach has to offer. Teaching clients CBT techniques helps clients to be independent and these techniques stay with them like tools that they can pull out whenever they need them, to deal with difficulties in their lives. In a way CBT teaches clients to become their own therapists.
